Our
Story
Sion was founded in 2015 by Basheer Ahmed Boddikonda, a semiconductor veteran with 22+ years of industry experience and deep roots at Google, Broadcom, and Boeing. The vision was clear from day one: build a focused hardware company that customers could trust to deliver from specification to production — across silicon, boards, firmware, and systems.
What began as a small team in Bangalore has today grown into a 120+ strong engineering workforce, with offices in San Jose, Munich, Singapore, Dubai, and Bangalore. Over the past decade, Sion has partnered with industry leaders including Intel, AMD, ARM, Broadcom, and Google — delivering 24+ successful tape-outs and production-ready hardware platforms across video, networking, storage, and AI infrastructure
Backed by a trusted network of technology partners across IP, EDA, hardware, and platforms, Sion is scaling toward a 500-engineer organization by 2028 — purpose-built to serve the accelerating demands of global customers in AI, storage, and networking hardware.

Specializes in end-to-end hardware product development across storage, embedded, and AI/ML for IIoT. Mr. Neeraj Rai
Director, Sales30+ years in the semiconductor industry across engineering leadership and sales. Deep technical expertise in RTL, DV, physical design, DFT, AMS verification, AI/ML methodologies, and post-silicon validation.
